Outer Banks of North Carolina

Attended a real estate seminar this morning with Tom Hranicka of Outer Beaches Realty (www.outerbeaches.com and www.hatterasisland.com) in Avon, North Carolina and we discussed real estate trends in this community and across the country. He's been here 17 years, mostly doing sales, but there are a ton of rental properties out here that usually are rented out for vacations on a weekly basis.

Some of the houses sell for $3 million and some rent for around $9,000 a week (!) but it's so beautiful out here you can understand why. Plus, those high-end houses have 12+ bedrooms, 7+ baths and multiple pools AND are situated right on the water.

Of course I told him about MoveFrog as well, and he's planning on posting some of his rental listings on the website. Also, our system is designed where if we ever want to expand into sales listings it wouldn't be too difficult. Right now, however, there are more resources available to buyers and MoveFrog wants to concentrate on rentals.
